It is also includes fields like biomechanics, bioinformatics, bioengineering, medical engineering, systems analysis, physiological signal processing, 3-D modeling, and so many others. This is relatively a new discipline and it is up to the challenge of creating new devices. For short, everything that you see and know that is related to medical science.

Application
Most of these devices you see that are used for the patients in hospitals. With these advances in medical science, doctors can now examine and diagnose illness accurately thus saving more lives. In emergency rooms, devices like digital x-ray machines, patient monitors, defibrillator, infusion pumps. Operating rooms have also monitors like patient monitor in combination with carbon dioxide monitors, anesthesia machines, cautery machines, suction machines and other surgical instruments. And other hospital departments.
